June 1st CHESS Open House

On Thursday, June 1st, we are having an Open House at our new location at the Manassas Baptist Church Rock (MBCR) building!  This great facility with large classrooms has allowed us to expand our course offerings to 6 teaching hours on both Mondays and Wednesdays and has allowed us to include a lunch break in the schedule.

Take advantage of this great opportunity to visit our new location and ask any questions you may have.  Feel free to pass this email along to a homeschooling friend!

MBCR Open House

  • 8730 Sudley Rd in Manassas: the “Rock” is the school building next to Manassas Baptist Church
  • Thursday, June 1st
  • Come and visit anytime from 1:00-3:30

In addition to the MBCR Open house, that same day we will be hosting a “Resume Building and Mock Interview Workshop” presented by Chick-fil-A. This free workshop will equip high school students with valuable information on how to effectively prepare a resume. The Chick-fil-A management team coaches will also conduct one-on-one mock interviews with students and provide constructive feedback on the interview process.  Students will learn what to expect in an interview, learn professional etiquette and self-presentation, and will gain confidence for real interviews.

Resume Building and Mock Interview Workshop

  • Thursday, June 1st from 1pm-3pm
  • CHESS Students 16 years of age or older may register
  • Registration is required for this workshop and seats are limited
  • To register, please email Michelle Miller at coordinator [at] chessclasses [dot] org
