2018-2019 CHESS EXPO

Thursday, March 8th, 7:00-9:00 p.m. Come meet our teachers and get the details about our classes for the new year!

Location: Manassas Baptist Rock Building Worship Center, 8730 Sudley Road, Manassas

The CHESS Expo is an exciting opportunity for families to meet and hear a brief word from our teachers, ask questions, and find out what makes them passionate about their subject(s). We expect to have our 2018-19 course schedule published in time for the Expo. Parents and students grades 7-12 are welcome to attend. Younger siblings may attend as well; however, no child care will be provided.

It is strongly suggested that registered families meet their teachers at least once before the classes begin. The CHESS Expo is a great time to do that!

For more information, email Becky Hauge.

Monday, April 9, and Wednesday, April 11. The CHESS Open House is designed for currently-enrolled families, as well as those who are interested in learning more about the program. Visitors can sit in on classes throughout the day. Visiting a class is a great way to determine if a class is a good fit for your student, in addition to a careful reading of the teacher’s prospectus for the class. Childcare for younger children (no infants) will be available in the Parent/Student Center.

CHESS (Centreville Homeschool Enrichment Support Services) is a small-group homeschool support program for students in 7th through 12th grade. Our desire is to help parents to prepare their students for college-level studies and for life.

Our vision at CHESS is to help parents homeschool through high school by providing classes that enrich students’ lives, develop their abilities, and challenge them to explore their life’s purpose. CHESS exists to support homeschooling parents of seventh through twelfth grade students by providing classes to develop life skills and prepare students for college-level studies.
